Vessel:myown

Crew:myself and gerry

Duration:615am-1pm

Tide:very strong springs low around 730

Weather:good to start picking up all the time tho

Bait:rag,crab,mackerel ,razor,sandeel

Rigs:everything

Results:2 tope ,5 or6huss,3starry smooth hound,1 tub gurnard.tons of dogs and a dab.

headed out early to catch the best of the weekends weather flat calm most of the day picked up a bit not to much as day went on. we started off ok and i had a one tope but after an hour or so at anchor the tide got to strong so moved in closer to shore before moving out again when tide died to get gerrys first ever tope and not a bad one at that.finnaly got to use the tope tagging kit after getting it this time last year mesured the two fish had no scales anyone know the way to get the waight from mesurment?

1) Measure the fish's girth in inches, then square it.

2) Multiply the arrived at figure by the fish's length, again in inches.

3) Divide the final figure by 800 to achieve the approximate weight of the fish in LBS.
