cork harbour easter sunday

Post by screeming reels on Mon 13 Apr - 11:38

screeming reels

Crew:dezzer , myself

Duration:8 hours

Tide:ebb, to start of flood

Weather:nice, f3-5 south wind

Bait:mack, squid, crab, rag

Rigs:minis rigs, and shrimp rig

Results:goldshinny wrasse, whiting, dabs , shore rockling, ( 29 cm Jim )launce, black gobys, LSD, LOBSTER ! Yummy.

Well, no relatives around, so had to go fishing, planned to try and find cianfishers rockling mark, well seems as though we might have a candidate for that now! with a nice shore rockling, still the 3. and 5 bearded to find.
Most of the day was spent trying new ground, and looking for different stuff, not a great days fishing, but some valuable ground work put in to find new spots.
Dezzer is thouroughly convinced i am either psychic, or as many have said the luckiest angler on the planet.
Was fishing near cobh, when i said to him, hmmm, i think i will put down a nice lump of mackeral, think there could be some lobsters here, at that very moment a bite on the rod, up comes a nice plump lobster, hooked i might add in the mouth!!!
Dezzer was speechless, enough said!
3 to add to the species count for this year, always a nice to add a couple on a trip, at least dezzer has seen my secret Lobster rig
regards
