Jim is looking after contacting the lads in Tramore to make sure they are there, and Barry, Kevin, Tony and myself will be there, I hope that all the Juvs who have been contacted will be there from about 5.30, its in their own interest to attend and help out.

Well the Bag Pack took place, TWO juveniles turned out, TWO yes TWO juveniles from the club were there. If it was not for a committee member who brought along his three kids, none of whom are juvenile club members, it would have been like a SENIOR bag pack. Where were all the Juvenile club members. Is a couple of hours work to raise funds for one of the club juveniles who is on the Irish team too much to ask. Dissapointing to say the least.

Well done to all 2 that turned out.
Not to take away from those that put in the effort but unless things change dramatically... I would not be too pushed to help with fund raising for the Juveniles in the future.... It was the same story on the flag day....

Lads, We are trying to raise funds to help ye out... This is just my opinion but if there is no interest shown by the members of the juvenile section it probably is not worth while running a juvenile section in the future... Lets hope there is a big push on our next event. It would be a shame to not be able to fund the kids for the sake of a few hours twice a year...

Have to agree with you 100% Coaster, myself and I am sure most of the committe have other interests which they give up to run the Juvenile section of this club year in year out, I can think of one committee member who has travelled the length of this country and he now has no juvenile family member fishing. I feel it is time for the committe to have a serious discussion for the validity of having a Juvenile section in the club for 2010. Unless the juveniles are willing to make the effort to help out in fund raising there is very little point in trying to facilitate a juvenile section. Do none of these kids ever wish to represent their club, province or country at any level, as a lot of the Rinnashark Juveniles have in the past. Sponsorship today is non existent and the monies collected at Juvenile competitions is a pittance compared to what is required. The juvenile section of the club is not self funding. Its great to have the competitions and to get the kids involved but there needs to be a MAJOR effort on behalf of ALL the interested parties involved in Juvenile angling.

lads did not make it muself friday as i got delayed in what i was doing friday, but that turn out is not good.its not nice to put in time and effort for people and they dont turn up,was there any phone calls from any of the juvs to say they could not make it?
maybe stop the fund raising and put up membership for the year make it cover its self????
fair play to the two lads that did turn up.
