i thinkn of gettn a Abu 6500 CT Pemium Mag Elite would this be to light for fishing ruff beach marks
or would i be better off getting Abu 7000 CT Mag

no expert on it but the 6500 should be well able for all irish beach marks would not see need to go up to the 7000.if you were doing mostly rock and boat fishing would be only resion i would go with the 7000.

Which reel

Hi Bass Buster
The Mag Elite 6500 is mainly used for Beach work and would not be suitable for rough beach work, the 7000 is a great reel for use of rocks etc.
The Diawa SL20SH or Slosh is a good all rounder as it has the strength and retreive for mixed beachs.
I use the Mag Elite and the Penn 252 mag for my beach work and when i fish a mixed beach/rocks the Slosh comes out.
