netting back strand tramore

i was down at the back strand in tramore at low tide,today.collecting bait and came across a 40 foot net set in the channel.phoned the guards,got the baliffs numder,they gave me the wrong one.they werent much help.so i pulled it out and left on the bank.

should of burnt it they where caught only two weeks ago down there ill pass that info on to the balifs. where there any fish in the net?did you leave net above the high tide mark?

there was no fish in it,id say it was only laid down a few hours.there was 2 lads with a wheel barrow going over the saleen side id say it was theres.i tied it up and put the wieghts on top of it.do you have the baliffs no,if i come across one again thanks.

Anyone needs the bailiffs numbers we can get them to you just ask here, its best to have them at the time you are on the beach not the next day. This is the 2nd time in a few weeks there has been a net here if you see the earlier posts you will know that the bailiffs and gardai were called out at that time. The people that are doing the netting are will to take the chance, it may not be the same people each time but we do need to keep on top of it where possible. Well done Chris on your vigilance, any time you are digging bait take a look.
