Tramore 15/11/08

Fished above for a couple of hours Saturday evening,there was a nice surf and was very mild for November so was expecting a great night, however nothing major to report except a few coalies and I got a nice little bass Very Happy

.....lost a a nice fish in the surf was not a happy camper I say people in Tramore would of heard the swearing Mad

all the fish were on lug/lug with crab.
Anybody else fish there Saturday saw a few tip lights down the beach?

That lost fish could have been a good size Mullet they will take Lug on Tramore beach but you will lose most of them in the surf the hook pulls out.
Rinnashark had a JUV competition in Passage East 17 young anglers (two of them first competition ever) landed 130 fish good days fishing.
fish = cod - rock ling - whiting - dab - flounder -pollock (also a few sea slugs not counters but this is only place ever caught in Waterford)

well james fished saleens friday eve myself and gerry fished for 2.5 hours with out a bite gerry had a small coalie is all beaches seem to be hit and miss at moment,river seems to be the place to be at the moment.

Like the pic lovely looking thing. Thats fair going, 130 fish they were kept busy anyway. Were they getting nice cod at passage?

Well Barry, was thinking of trying the saleens first but opted for the front strand when we saw the surf. Going to give the river a try next weekend if I can get home.

might try river friday mad to give it a go after seen plenty been caught there last week even tho just cos the juv caught them dont mean we can Razz
