Boat competitions 2016

One down and five to go four charter boats and a 1 small boat competition.
Dates:
May 29th Dungarvan (competition)
June 18th Dunmore (small boat species hunt)
July 24th Dungarvan (competition)
Sept 18th Dungarvan (shark trip)

As with all boat dates as spaces are limited its first come first served basis. We also hope to get out on a few fun evening trips later in the year too.

2nd and 3rd boat competitions 2016

The clubs second and third boat competitions of the year were held last sun 29th May. The boat was a new charter boat out of Dungarvan (Algerine) (Dungarvan offshore charters) skippered by David Hehir. with a full crew we left the pier at 8 am the first competition was fished at anchor and second on the drift. conditions were nearly too good mirror clam water. fishing with east wind was slow but we all had a few fish consisting of Pollock, cod, ballan wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, conger, ling, dogs,poor cod, coalie, mackerel and whiting. also on the day a large amount of basking sharks were seen as well as a minky whale.
