Smooth hound fishing??

Post by lengrace on Thu 27 Jun - 15:00

Hi people,
If like to go fishing for smooth hounds, could anyone point me in the right direction of any spots that would be worth fishing, a guy in the fishing shop told me somewhere in Wexford but for the life of me I can't remember, any help would be appreciated thanks

Smooth hound

Post by AC on Thu 27 Jun - 19:34

There is a fundraiser for the world shore team at Rosslare strand 29th fishing 8-12.
This would be a smooth hound Competition and a smooth hound mark . There are many up the east cost,
Time and tides are key , and you just never know until you stuck in one but its well worth the trip
.

We were fishing for bass and we were told to fish close in but the weed was an absolute nightmare so we went for a little distance and worked for me, also there were a couple of guys saying there were bass caught in the morning, they were spinning but were not there long, too much weed
