sea trout and salmon laws
Im living in piltown and used to fish the suir never got anything much from there but yesterday a friend caught a 8lb sea trout, once he caught it he put it straight in the car in case he was caught but as far as im aware if its a tidal river anything goes am i right or wrong???? Also we catch tiny flat fish known locally as flukes i am presuming they are dabs becauae of the size just wondering does anyone have any idea if this would be the case??? Thanks len

well len they were flounder they are the only flat fish to go far up in to rivers even in to fresh water normally very small the further up river you go.
on the sea trout totally breaking the law if he did not have a liance the laws are the same at sea or in the river.
