Angers: Meself, Barry and Declan

Tide: Across the bottom and up a few hours

Bait: Crab, worms & some fish baits

Results: Bass and a flounder

We had a go across the river Monday night. Meant to get a report up earlier but been busy. We headed across on the ferry after work to have a go at tryin to pick up some hounds. Was a bit early in the tide when we got there so we said we'd give an hour or two on an estuary mark. Barry had a decent flounder in the first cast but things quietened off after that.


After about an hour of nothing we decided to head off to have a go at the hounds. I was rolling up a trace gettin ready to reel in when the rod doubled and nearly landed on the ground only I managed to catch it. Decent bass of 5lb landed a minute or two later, thought it would have been bigger the way the rod hopped off the tripod.



No joy on the hound mark after. We met up with Stephen which put 6 rods in the water and nothing landed in roughly 3 hours. Barry did have a small knock just before we headed off.

Had a few dabs the followin night in passage to use up a bit of bait fishin down the tide to the bottom

nice bass gerry that rod was heading to sea only for you caught it.nice night should of stayed in first mark but thats fishing for you.myself and gerry were out again today and managed five bass between 2.5-4.5 lb on crab.
