Fishing at Lake Ramor, Virginia

Post by jimhun on Thu Mar 03, 2011 4:17 am

Hi there,

I am thinking to go Lake Ramor for pike fishing. I would like to spin there. I checked many available webpages about this lake, and it looks it is free on this lake and spinner lures can be used for pike.
I do not want to hire boat, I want to spin on the bank of the lake when walking around the lake. Is it possible there?
Is anybody can help me if I'm right or not?

Thanks

jimhun

Hi Jumhun,

As you know all pike and coarse fishing in free, But the only problems there would be access, I;ve fished many of the lakes around Cavan with no problem.
What would be wort doing, is contacting the Virginia Pike & Coarse Angling Club sorry unable to find details and talking to Angling In Ireland The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs message board. http://forum.angling-in-ireland.com/viewforum.php?f=6. Sorry I can't be more help.

BYE-LAW NO. 862 of 2009 provides for catch and release in respect of coarse fish in the harbour area of Lough Ramor. The Byelaw also prohibits the possession of any coarse fish or keep net in, or on the banks of, the harbour area and provides for the use of single barbless hooks only in angling for coarse fish.
