The Christmas Fare competition took place on Cheekpoint wall yesterday. 13 anglers took part and landed 120 fish on a very calm winters evening. Fishing was from 4-7 and after the event anglers returned to a local hostelry for prizegiving and much needed hot food. Winners on the day were, Brian O'Neill, Mick Roche, Tony Flanagan, Jim McCartan, Ger Phelan, Tom O'Mahoney, Kevin Ryan, Barry Murphy, Arthur Carr, Declan Flanagan, Stephen Fanning, Nicky Walsh, Gerry Walsh. End of year prizes for Master Angler went to 1st Stephen Fanning, Alan Mulcahy, and Barry Murphy. The team prizes were won by Ger Phelan and Alan Mulcahy. Longest Fish trophy was won by Arthur Carr for a 90 Cm Smoothound. Boat Master Angler Trophy went to Barry Murphy.
The club would like to thank all the anglers for their support during the year and look forward to seeing all of them at the AGM on Jan 12th, 2012 in Grimes Bar, Waterford.
