2nd and 3rd rinnashark master angler boat competitons 25-9-2010

Post by barry on Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:44 am

the last two legs of the 2010 rinnashark boat master angler competitions were fished sat 25-9-10 out of dunmore on board angus boat the st michael.the weather was good small chop to start but flattened right off.the competitions were fished at anchor as is ifsa rule and angus put us on the fish, super days fishing plenty of fish all through the two competitions didnt ease up at all and a good species count with ten for the day (pollock, coalie, pout, poorcod, dogs, cod, cookoo wrasse, ballan wrasse, dragonnet, ling) this is a really good sign as these are the reefs that will be getting fished for the munster open in may next year. the results are

COMPETITION1:
barry murphy 39 fish -8 species-224pts

kevin ryan 38fish-7species-203pts

brian o neill 28 fish- 8species-194pts

COMPETITION 2:
kevin ryan 28fish-9 species-197pts

brian o neill 18 fish- 9 species-151pts

barry murphy 16 fish-8 species-149pts

POOL FOR THE MOST SPECIES ON THE DAY WENT TO BRIAN O NEILL FOR 10 SPECIES.

this was our 3rd year running boat competitions with the club and are hoping to see more out next year for the 4th year.
i would like to say a big thnks to angus for helping and putting us on the fish over the two days and even gave us two drifts on the way home after the two competitions witch turned up a few more species whiten ,red gurnard and plenty more nice big cod.

later this winter we are going to try organise a few winter competitions in the eastury when there is plenty of cod dabs flounder in the river prob be feb march time and will hold them as opens so any one interested get back to me spaces will be limited first come get the places.
