fishing dunbrattin head

fishing dunbrattin head

i was fishing dunbrattin head last week, just lost a load of gear, not even a bite, last year we caught lots of dogfish so jm just wondering do they go out to deeper water in the winter? ant if so when will they be back, also what other fish am i likely to catch there and what tatics shoud i useto catch them , has anyone fished the beach there aswell and if so what would i be likely tol catch any info would be great thanks!!!

Best advice to be had is to stay out of the place because your type are not welcome as is the feeling in many small harbours around waterford hello2

Its fairly ruff ground out there so use a rotton bottom clip or weak link to the weight or float fish, the beach has bass you will often see illegal nets just off the beach, plenty of wrasse out there, pollock, doggies and spinning for bass, i got a garfish on the float of there last year, i found the best bait out there for wrasse is rag, hope this helps

dogfish are been netted for pot bait so they are getting very scarce.

You can not catch your own pot bait was supposed to have been stopped two years ago

To stop some from using under size fish as bait .
