Passage East Juv Comp Sun April 25th

Post by Sharky on Sun 25 Apr - 19:42

14 young anglers took part in a competition in Passage East and fishing was good from start to finish with plenty fish being landed. The winners in the assisted were Luke Roche and Ross Connolly. In the unassisted one young anglers Daniel Geraghty, has hit a purple patch with wins in two competitions in two days in the same venue, so it proves experience and knowledge of a venue can be an advantage. The winners were 1st Daniel Geraghty, 2nd Sean Cunningham, 3rd Michael Hanlon. The next competition will be on May 16th in Dunmore East and not the get together as announced at the prizegiving

Post by shamieboy on Mon 26 Apr - 15:57

well done to all at rinnashark, how did you manage to haul so many youngsters away from their x-boxes and playstations ? nice to see so many youngsters angling...if only we could get a few down her in rebel-land,you could almost count the number of young anglers on one hand, down here...keep up the good work, and god help us when they become seniors Wink Wink Wink

nice to see ,2 of this years munster team finishing in the top 3 in the club competitions, its proves that the more fishing you do, competing at the top level, the better the angler you become, well done to daniel and michael
I look forward to seeing you compete again this year for the munster team.

Kingo, I think those two as well as a few more have you to thank for a lot of the techniques they have picked up and the skills they now have. But, they will need to be sharp next year as we have a few more who could make life very difficult for them in the qualifiers.

well they have the 3 summer get togethers and coaching sessions coming up so there need to be as many seniors there possible to help the young lads.
some of the areas from been on the beach at competition we need to see if we can help improve little techniques for them are.bait presentation on hooks, casting ,collocting own bait and how to keep it.most important is fish handling some of the seniors could do with this too:)Smile.
