Received this email from some anglers in Wales if you would like to give some information on fishing your local area please email rinnasharksac@gmail.com and i will pass it on.

My friend and I are hoping to come over to Waterford from south Wales in 2011 to do some shore fishing and maybe some boat fishing when is the best time to come over for bass fishing

Or shore fishing the dates I have are 13/05/2011 – 27/05/2011. 20/07/2011-05/08/2011. 29/09/2011- 15/10/2011. we are looking to stay for one week so any info you can give me when to come

Over will be great. is there any person I can phone get any more info

Sure there will probably be somebody around to help them out Jim. Just a note, the first two weeks they have suggested are predominantly during the bass ban. If i was to pick going on how i got on last year it would be the first two weeks in October but you never know what the conditions are going to be like

I thought there was lots of lads came over from Wales and England to all areas of the South East every year to fish and they were always welcome. Do they not spend money in the areas they come to and at least they are unlikely to take all they catch unlike a lot of our own.

The most important reason to promote angling tourism in the region i think. It's the only way things will be saved from the re-introduction of the commercial bass fishery
