Hi all,

We caught a small tope from the beach in Tramore last night. Caught him with lugworm.

Im new to sea fishing and the fright we got. A shark of all things, any he went back safe. I was wondering how common is it to catch one from the shore like this.

Thanks

Didn't feel like hangin over the side of a boat today havin a second look at me dinner so went out for the afternoon pluggin form solid ground. Things were quite with just one fish but it was my first sea-trout of the year so definitely a worth while session. Has anybody tried fly fishing for these fish, they put up a great fight but using a plug with three trebles is a bit heavy handed i think

A few of us are going fishing in Kilfarrasy cove, waterford tomorrow night. I was wondering which bait would you consider to be the best Ragworm or lugworm. I dont want to waste time digging the two if only one will work best. We will be fishing for Bass and anything else we can catch.
