Plugging 21/06/09
Anglers: Just meself
Duration: Roughly 1 hour
Tackle: Surface poppers
Results: 1 Bass 4.5lb
No secret i've been foamin at the mouth for a bass since the ban was lifted last week (4am start on the 16th as i remember) . I said i'd put in a quick session today, couldnt spend too long out given the fact it was the bosses birthday!! Got to the mark at about half one to find a very calm sea so it looked like ideal conditions to try the surface poppers i've been fluttering away far too much of my hard earned on. Never had much confidence or success with these and after about 45min i was thinking about changing back to wot i've been catching on. Said i'd have one last cast on the top water lure when i hooked into what felt like something a lot livelier than anthing i've caught this year. The take happened a long way out so it took a bit of time to get this fella in. Nothing else after that but i didnt care. Fairly certain this is my fish of the year
